General information
eduroam is an international project promoting the mobility of users in academic networks. In all the organizations participating in this project, the users can connect to the internet using the same credentials. To connect, the user must have the eduroam account in his/her home institution and configured laptop or other device supporting wi-fi.
Connection
The rules for using the eduroam network are defined in the roaming policy (in Czech).
Access points
The Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences operates wi-fi access points with technical parameters:
- Wireless network SSID: eduroam
- Authentication: 802.1x (EAP)
- Secutity: WPA2
- Enctyption: AES
- Internet: IPv4, NAT
- Devices used: Cisco
